Where to find Whetstone Knife in Elden Ring?

The Whetstone Knife is an item in the game Elden Ring that you can find early on. It gives you a big advantage as you progress in the game. 

To find it, go to the Gatefront Ruins. There will be soldiers there that you need to defeat. Be careful because they might call for more soldiers if you’re not quick enough. 

Once you clear the area, explore the ruins and you’ll find a staircase leading underground. Go down the stairs and follow the path. 

At the end of the path, you’ll find a door that you should open. Inside the door, there’s a chest containing the Whetstone Knife.

What does the Whetstone Knife do? 

It unlocks special upgrades called Ashes of War for your weapons. These upgrades have powerful techniques that can make a big difference in combat. You’ll need to find each Ashes of War separately through quests in the game. 

To check which ones you have or to see what you can use for your weapon, go to the nearest Site of Grace and select the Ashes of War option in the menu.
