1) Whetstone Knife

The Whetstone Knife is buried in the southeastern part of Gatefront Ruins, making it one of the earliest items you can find. Unfortunately, the Whetstone Knife does not grant any affinities like another canon Whetblades. Instead, it enables affinities to be shifted and Ashes of War to be added to weapons. It would help if you came here first, of course.

Those who haven’t tasted it can trade in their Ashes of War for a respite at a Site of Grace. Any Ashes of War can be used for any purpose, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different forms of combat. The affinity of your weapon will shift as a result of this. The remaining Whetblades serve this purpose by letting you customize your Ash of War and weapon’s affinities.

2) Iron Whetblade

The Heavy, Keen, and Quality affinities can be added to a weapon with the use of this item. Strength scaling will increase on a Heavy weapon, but only at the expense of all other stats. Keen improves a character’s Dexterity but decreases their Strength and starting damage. Finally, Quality improves Dexterity and Strength by a tiny amount at the expense of damage output.

3) Glintstone Whetblade

The Glintstone Whetblade is kept at Raya Lucaria University. The Debate Parlor Site of Grace should be your first stop. Walk out the door and into the courtyard. A flight of stairs can be seen to the left of the exit, leading to a group of knelt Noble Sorcerers. Where the Nobles are groveling is the location of the Whetblade. The Black Whetblade is kept in the room with the altar through a crumbling archway.

This item can give your weapons an affinity towards poison, blood, or the Occult. Blood has the same effect as Occult but also increases Bleed accumulation damage, while Occult only enhances Arcane. On the other hand, poison not only improves Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane scaling but also adds Poison Damage.

6) Sanctified Whetblade

Leyndell, the Royal Capital, is home to the Sanctified Whetblade.
